Project Joy

Project Joy is a ministry of St. Andrew’s dedicated to serving those in need in our community by providing hot meals, groceries, and hygiene items every Tuesday and Thursday.

This ministry is made possible through the faithful service of volunteers and is funded solely through individual donations and the support of St. Andrew’s. One hundred percent of all donations go directly to assisting those in need.

To make a donation, please contact the church office at (310) 540-5252 or email projectjoy@standrews.org. All contributions are deeply appreciated.

We also welcome volunteers who feel called to serve. If you are interested in joining this ministry, please contact us at projectjoy@standrews.org.

Thank you for partnering with us as we share Christ’s love through this vital ministry in our community.

FAITH Ministry

At Friends Assisting and Inspiring The Homeless (FAITH) Ministry, our mission goes beyond providing meals. While food meets an immediate need, our true focus is helping individuals transition from life on the streets into permanent housing.

Born out of this vision, the FAITH program works in collaboration with Harbor Interfaith Services and the City of Redondo Beach to connect individuals experiencing homelessness with essential resources and clear, actionable next steps toward stability and independence.

To remove common barriers to services and employment, St. Andrew’s began offering its church address as a mailing address for individuals experiencing homelessness. This simple but critical support enables them to receive documentation, apply for jobs, and access homeless services.

As a result of FAITH’s ongoing efforts, many individuals have successfully moved off the streets and into stable living situations. Since 2017, a total of 675 individuals have transitioned off the streets through permanent housing placements, shelter entry, relocation assistance, or reunification with family.

For those who are newly housed and interested in a House Blessing, we provide a Welcome Home Kit. These kits include essential household items not typically supplied by housing programs, such as kitchenware, a trash can, laundry basket, towels, bath mats, shower curtains, and basic toiletries— helping transform housing into a true home.

The MomCo at St. Andrew’s

Connect with other moms through engaging discussions, creative activities, a warm breakfast, and coffee or tea. Open to moms with children of any age, with childcare provided for children up to 5 years of age.

The MomCo at St. Andrew’s meets every other Wednesday from 9:00–11:30 AM in the Fellowship Hall.

We offer a supportive space to talk about all aspects of motherhood within a structured faith-based program that includes videos or guest speakers.  Topics covered include everything from daily life and relationships to health, school life, and the invisible workload, while exploring how Jesus supports us in every part of our lives.

For more information, visit our local MomCo website or contact MomCoStAndrews@gmail.com.

Angel Tree

Angel Tree, a program of Prison Fellowship, serves children of incarcerated parents by delivering Christmas gifts on behalf of their moms or dads, along with a message of love and hope, while also offering year-round mentoring and family support. Through partnerships with local churches and volunteers, Angel Tree helps strengthen relationships strained by incarceration, reminds children they are not forgotten, and shares the life-changing love of Jesus Christ, working to restore families and break cycles of crime and poverty.
