What a faithful Lord Jesus that cares for us! When we stop to think of all the ways that the Lord Jesus meets our needs, we can’t help but desire to respond to His love. He is steadfastly committed to us!  What, then, are we called to do by the care He provides?

Through our Lord Jesus, as His church, we’ve been called to complete the work He began. And as members of His body, in order to be most effective we must be growing spiritually, growing in serving others, and growing in offering back to the Lord Jesus a portion of His provision for the work of His church. In Matthew 25:14-30 the Lord Jesus teaches us that our faithfulness implies returning to Him an increase based on the resources He has provided us. That increase will surely come as we grow in these three areas of our lives: spiritually, serving others, and regularly offering to the Lord Jesus for His church’s work. How would you measure your faithfulness in each of these?  How would you measure your effectiveness as a disciple in the kingdom?

With the New Year in January we, as the church, will focus on rededicating ourselves to be committed in faithfulness. Commitment is not only measured by one or two areas of our lives, but by every area of our lives. The teaching of our pastors and elders will address these three comprehensive areas so that the Lord Jesus might be honored and we might be blessed.

How is your spiritual growth at this season of life? Are you growing in your relationship with God and trust in him? Or are you feeling stagnant or disconnected?  How are you growing in servanthood in the kingdom? Do you need to make space in your schedule in order to care for others the Lord Jesus has been bringing to your attention? Do you need to learn more about the needs of others?  How are you growing in your offerings back to the Lord Jesus for his kingdom work? Do you need to begin regularly exercising this act of love and trust? Have your offerings become emotionless?

We trust that the Lord Jesus will provide for all the ministry needs at St. Andrew’s through the Holy Spirit’s guidance of each of us.  We are blessed with each other for the mission the Lord Jesus has given us as His church. It’s a joy to be serving and encouraging your participation and blessing in the Lord Jesus’ kingdom.

All glory to our God and Savoir!
