St. Andrew’s youth department is so excited to welcome our new youth director, Peter Dunn. Peter comes to us with a wealth of youth ministry experience in several different arenas. He has worked in suburban, urban and reservation church environments as well as working as a short term missionary in Zambia, Africa. Most recently he has worked with Rev. Todd Grant at the Watts Powerhouse ministry. Peter was born and raised in Malibu where he is a member of Malibu Presbyterian Church. He has a strong academic background in youth ministry from Azusa Pacific University and he recently completed his Masters in Theology at Fuller Seminary. He’s also a gifted baseball player and an all-around nice guy!

Come to the St. Andrew’s Youth Center each Wednesday night for a great program of worship, fellowship and Bible Study.  High Schoolers from 9th to 12th grade are invited from 6:45pm-8pm.  Bring your friends … it’s a great time.  We have a great worship band performing and there are snacks too! We will be singing, dancing, eating, playing and diving into the scriptures together.

Ambassadors for Christ Through Song

Let’s sing praises to Christ

Do you like to sing?  Come and sing praises to our Lord.  Our high school/young adult choir rehearsals for their weeklong tour in June have begun. All students 8^th grade and up are invited to join us in the Youth Center at 8:30am on Sunday mornings.  We have a few performances in Church on Sunday mornings and complete our experience as we go on a road show.

2012 Dates:

• Tour: June 25 – July 1, 2012 (dates may adjust lightly, but it will be this week)
• Welcome Home Concert: July 1, 2012

Weekly Programs during the school year:

• Junior High Youth Group   ::   THE TIDE | Tuesdays | 6:45-8:15 pm | Youth Center. 
• Sunday Morning Class: Sunday mornings during the 10am worship service.  Students are encouraged to attend the Worship Service and they will be dismissed to the Conference Room during the sermon.
• ACTS (Ambassadors for Christ Through Song) Choir:  Do you like to sing?  Starting in January, come and sing praises to our Lord.  For 8th grade, high school and college students.  <Click here>for more information.
