What is ACTS?
Acts stands for Ambassadors for Christ Through Song. (It’s a cheesy name, we know. But we inherited it, so what can you do?) Our purpose is to bring together students and young adults to bring a message of hope in Christ to a hurting world.
Every year we come together to learn music and drama to present in a week-long concert tour. During a tour we have a two-fold purpose:
1. To teach our choir what it means to love, live, work and function as a family with Jesus Christ as our head.
2. To reach out with love to hurting people in the communities where we perform.
Acts tour is not just concerts! We do things like work in a homeless shelter, or help out with Vacation Bible School. We want to serve the communities where we sing! We like to think of ourselves as a “church on wheels,” bringing help and hope wherever we go. In the process we develop a deep connection to one another and to God.
