Family Camp

For the Whole Church Family!

A week of fun, fellowship and instruction for the whole family.  There are adult, youth and children’s programs in the morning, free time in the afternoon and activities in the evening.  Of course, meals are provided.  That means no cooking ladies!  You can’t beat that!

Here’s all the information from our 2012 camp if you’re interested.

Date:  Sunday, August 5 to Thursday, August 9, 2012; four days and nights with an option for Friday morning.

Place: Pine Valley Bible Camp, 8668 Pine Creek Road, Pine Valley, California (About 1 hour east of San Diego on Interstate Hwy)

Go to www.pvbc.net to check out the accomodations and activities available. Please call the church office (310) 540-5252 if you need more details.

It’s a great way to get to know your brothers and sisters in Christ.

It’s a great week … watch for registration next year on the church patio or on-line.

In 2011 our theme was Families of the Old West.  Our speaker was Len Kinzel, a missionary in Quito, Ecuador, and his wife, Beth.  Len spoke on “Healthy Family Communication.”  Please click below to hear his 4 messages during the week:

Len Kinzel – 2011.08.08 Family camp – Day One

Len Kinzel – 2011.08.09 Family camp – Day Two

Len Kinzel – 2011.08.10 Family camp – Day Three

Len Kinzel – 2011.08.11 Family camp – Day Four

Also, here’s a note that Len recently sent and wanted to share with everyone,

“After trying to turn thoughts toward “communication” with y’all at family camp, I find it ironic that I can’t find words to express how much we cherish the opportunity to be welcomed into the St. Andrew’s family in a whole new way!  As we (try to) settle back into our lives and ministries here in Quito, the warm glow from camp remains for each of us.  We consider it more of an honor than ever to serve as global extensions of the hearts of y’all in the South Bay.  Thanks to all who touched us — and thanks to God for touching anyone through us.”  Len (for Beth, Jenny and Kasey) Kinzel — len.kinzel@gmail.com
This year we enjoyed the camp’s new Pool and Volleyball Court! Besides pool time, we enjoyed the volleyball tournament, trivia challenge each day, a time for paint ball, ropes course, zip line, a craft or two, a movie night, s’mores around the campfire, a skit, women & men’s devotionals, fun, fellowship and much, much more.
