Please join us on Saturday, September 11, 2010 and help beautify St. Andrew’s.  There’s a task for everyone … we’ll do some fixin’, some cleanin’, some gardenin’, some weedin’, some repairin’, some laughin’, some eatin’ and just having some good ol’ fun while we joyfully work on the Lord’s house that he has provided His people in Redondo Beach.

Come and Honor Pastor Bill and Margaret Steel

When:  Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010

Please plan to join us for worship on Sunday, September 12th and honor Pastor Bill and Margaret Steel.  There will be a reception for them in Fellowship Hall immediately following the service.  Pastor Bill has meant so much to St. Andrew’s over the past years as he’s cared so tenderly for the widows and elderly in our church family.  And, his wife, Margaret has been tireless in showing her care in serving faithfully in the numerous activities and programs at the church including being the head of Deacons.  Both should be congratulated on their faithful service in continuing to grow the kingdom of God here at St. Andrew’s.  We wish them all of God’s blessings in their next chapter as they settle in their new home in Turlock, California.  May God Bless you Bill and Margaret!

Have you been attending St. Andrew’s?  Are you new to the area and desire to have a church family?  Do you want to find out what it means to be a church member or what the Presbyterian church is all about?  Or, are you just curious about church membership?  Or, maybe you have some other reason!

If this describes you or a friend then come join our New Member Class on Sunday, November 14, 2010 beginning after our second service, about 11:45am and get the answers to all your questions.  You’ll get a nice lunch and we’ll hand out material to help you understand what church membership is all about.  You’ll meet others that are interested and get to meet the church pastor.  You should be out by 2pm so don’t miss this opportunity!

There’s a new POOL THIS YEAR!  Besides pool time, we’ll have a volleyball tournament, trivia challenge each day, a time for paint ball, ropes course, zip line, a craft or two, a movie night, s’mores around the campfire, a skit, women & men’s devotionals, fun, fellowship and much, much more.

The event will be held on the patio of the Lazy Dog Café (located at Del Amo Fashion Center) on Saturday, August 14, 2010, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. People will then have the option of joining other Prime Timers for dinner, a movie, or bowling at Del Amo Fashion Center.

W’s China Bistro Restaurant is sponsoring a fundraiser for St. Andrew’s. 

Please let them know you are part of St. Andrew’s & W’s will give 15% back to the church.

The Fundraiser continues usually on the 1st Sunday of each month.  Don’t forget … you can also order TAKE-OUT!

Love INC Backpacks for back to school

We collect backpacks & supplies for needy children in our area that come to Love INC for help.  A big thanks for the backpacks and the fabulous school supplies given so far!  Those who still want to help equip needy children for school can leave items in the church office all this month.  Bring them to the office by August 29, 2010.  For an informational flyer please click here … Love INC backpacks

July 12-16, 2010 – 9am -12pm / St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church

Register your children 4 years old through Jr. High for Vacation Bible Camp (VBC) on the patio after church or in the church office during the week.  You can help make VBC a memorable experience for the children in the following ways:

1. Sign up to help!  We need 60-70 workers to keep all the children safely supervised.
2. Pray!  Commit to pray for the children and workers every day during VBC.
3. Bring fruit & baked goods!  Snacks for our adult workers during coffee breaks.

Thanks for your involvement and commitment to pray for our children and youth.
