Please Help the Needy by Donating canned food, clothing and toiletry items to Project Joy. St. Andrew’s provides a Donation Bin on the Church grounds to make it easy for you to Give Joyfully. Please ask someone in the church office to help you locate the Donation Bin if needed and donation receipts are also available in the church office.

YOU CAN HELP!
Angel Tree is a ministry that reaches out to the children of inmates and their families with the love of Christ. It seeks to transform the lives of these families and to reconcile them to their Heavenly Father and each other. At Christmas time, volunteers from churches purchase and deliver gifts to the children of inmates in their parent’s name. Each gift delivery also presents an opportunity to share the love and hope of Christ with each family. Through Angel Tree, these children feel a parent’s love, despite their absence. St. Andrew’s will give presents to 134 children this year.
The process: On Sunday morning at St. Andrew’s, select an “angel” from the Christmas tree in the Narthex, purchase the gifts, wrap them and return them to the church by December 12, 2009.

263 Boxes Collected!
Thank you to all who participated. This simple, hands-on mission’s project of gift-filled shoeboxes brings the Good News of God’s love to children in desperate situations around the world. With the help of this year’s “Build-a-Box” assembly line, St. Andrew’s and Torrance Good Shepherd Church supplied over 263 shoebox gifts which will be distributed to children in some 100 countries.
Operation Christmas Child Extended to November 23rd
If you have not yet put together a gift-filled shoebox, this opportunity is for you. If you’ve already turned in one shoebox gift, this is your chance to do one, or even two, more. Help meet this year’s challenge of supplying 350 shoebox gifts which bring the Good News of God’s love to children in desperate situations around the world. Gift-filled shoeboxes may be turned in to Mark & Cynthia Falter in the upper patio area on Sunday morning.
